Biographical Information
Minnesota
is
my home. I was born and raised here. I received my
education from the public schools in the greater metro area,
including the University
of
Minnesota. My parents and teachers instilled in me the values of
honesty, personal responsibility and commitment. I was
taught to always: do my best, learn from my mistakes, never
give up and be willing to help others.
As a young man in the 1980’s I participated in the
local music scene, met and married my wife, Robyn, and settled
in Burnsville. Over the past 25 years Robyn and I have raised six children
and many pets, and now proudly contribute to the lives of our
10 beautiful grandchildren. Over the past two-plus
decades I have worked with hundreds of families as a home
improvement contractor. Since
the 90’s I have operated a small, yet successful tile and
stone installation company.
Like most crafts-men and women, I have built my
business around consistent, quality performance and keeping my
promises. Homeowners throughout the metro trust my
judgment, my ideas, and my integrity.
In my three years at the Capitol I have employed those
collective experiences and wisdom to guide and inspire my work
as State Senator for District 40. Everything I am and
everything I hope to be – for myself, my family and my
community – comes from my life here in
Minnesota.
Thank you,
Minnesota
Special
note:
Over
the years I have been fortunate to have met and worked with
many unique and creative individuals who have inspired and
challenged me. My personal good fortune has been
due in large part to those around me, and most especially
my wife. She has shown me the incredible
strength of character and depth of love that is embodied in
women. Her love and belief in me is the main reason I
can take this journey to serve our community.
Thank you, Robyn.
